Embark Recruitment have moved to new premises this month (February) in order to enable company expansion and to cope with growing client demands.
Embark Recruitment is a niche recruiter to the plant, tool and equipment hire industry working with candidates and employers across the UK. Set up in 2007, the company has relocated to new premises in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, near to the castle. The expansion has allowed managing director Dave Irons to take on extra recruitment consultants to deal with increased demand as the plant hire sector benefits from increased construction activity across the country.
“It has been a tough time for any business involved in the construction industry, but with many new builds planned for both residential and commercial projects, the future looks bright,” comment Dave. “Fortunately, we were able to continue growing throughout the recession, but with house building levels at their highest for seven years, we felt that now was the right time to expand to larger premises.”
Having worked in the plant hire industry for almost 20 years, Dave was an operations manager with responsibility for 15 locations and over 80 staff across the UK. He decided to move into recruitment and use his experience to help source and place staff within the hire industry. He set up Embark Recruitment with his wife Deborah, initially working from home.
“Whilst working from a garden office at home gave us a great start, it lacked the space and facilities to allow for growth,” explains Dave. “Now with larger offices, we are able to expand and take on new employees. This means that we can ensure that we continue to provide the best possible service for candidates and companies.”
Embark Recruitment source candidates for a range of roles including demolition, engineering, management and sales. They offer personalized support throughout the recruitment process, offering a bespoke service for each client.
