Job Description

The Role:

Working for a busy Construction / Plant and Equipment Hire company, we need an experienced Hire Aministrator to work on the hire desk, assisting the Plant Controller to manage Equipment going on and off their Construction sites, in particular the administrative tasks which support this. Plant is sourced from both their own fleet but also external Plant and Tool Hire providers, thus you need to have a good grasp of a wide range of Construction Plant and Equipment. The role is an essential part in delivering a time critical service, hence the need for previous Rental / Hire experience. This is a full time, permanent position with no weekend work.

 

Key Responsibilities:

As a Hire Administrator - Plant & Tool Hire Your Job Role Would Include:

  • Assisting with the management of all hire orders with Hire Suppliers and facilitating the contracts needs in a high volume, busy working environment
  • Ensure internal plant invoicing is up to date
  • Providing support in all hires to that of best value supplier and equipment exchanges, ensuring that orders are placed for the best commercial reasons and objectives
  • Invoice query management and the ongoing commitment to reducing invoice mismatch
  • Manage the damage process, and assisting in the negotiating of all related damage charges through the hire cycle
  • Produce reports, letters and memos as required
  • Plant audit facilitation, reporting & reconciliation

 

Skills:

The Ideal Hire Aministrator - Plant & Tool Hire Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in one or more of the following roles: Hire Aministrator, Hire Controller; Senior Hire Controller; Hire Assistant; Hire Manger; Hire Co-Ordinator, Rental Manager, Assistant Manager
  • You will need previous experience within the Plant, Tool & Vehicle Hire Industry
  • You must be organised and able to multi task
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Essential time management and priority planning
  • You must be confident using IT Software, have a high level of computer literacy, Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
