Job Description

The Role:

Working for a family run specialist Plant Hire business, we need an experienced Internal Salesperson / Hire Controller to join an outstanding team. Ideally you will have previous experience within a Plant / Tool Hire or Construction Equipment Environment. This is a dual role, firstly working on their hire desk, helping customers renting plant hire equipment, dealing with both on and off hires, breakdowns and the administration tasks that go with this. Secondly pro-actively contacting down traders, lapsed accounts, and potential clients -  building profitable relationships. This is a full time permanent position with the opportunity for progression.

  • Taking On and Off Hire Calls
  • Organising Transport
  • Raising Contracts on Bespoke IT System

  • Filing / Admin Tasks
  • Resolve Customer Queries / Complaints
  • Account Management Calls
  • Other Daily Duties as Required

 

Skills:

The Ideal Candidate for the Hire Controllers Position Will Have:

  • Previous Experience in One or More of The Following Roles: Hire Controller; Senior Hire Controller; Hire Assistant; Hire Manger; Hire Desk Manager; Hire Co-Ordinator, Rental Manager, Assistant Manager, Assistant Branch Manager 
  • Strong Commitment to Deliver Excellent Customer Service
  • Organised with the Ability to Prioritise Multiple Tasks
  • Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • IT Literate
  • Confident Telephone / Sales Skills
